You will also see the RSS symbol next to news and events for some services and for our hospital and clinic locations. If you sign up for one of those feeds, you will receive news and events pertaining to that service or location.

What is a feed?

Feeds are commonly used on blogs, news sites and other web pages where content is frequently added. Some people use news aggregators to see new content from their favorite web sites, while others are increasingly reading web feeds through their web browsers. Scripps web feeds are indicated by the orange RSS button (see above).

How do I see a feed?

In order to subscribe to a Scripps feed, you must first sign up for or download a web aggregator or have a web browser on your computer that reads web feeds (examples include Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer 7). There are many freeware and shareware readers available for most operating systems. We do not endorse a specific feed reader.
